CARBARN | 2012 Lotus Esprit | The Esprit nameplate will return to an all-new Lotus vehicle that will be based on a wider, longer version of the Evora�s architecture.
Taking clear styling cues from both the Evora and the the Elise/Exige, the new Esprit brings plenty of exotic flair to the premium sports car segment. Its steeply raked windscreen and sharp, aggressive nose leave little doubt as to the Esprit�s racy intentions. The upcoming Esprit, like the last iteration of its predecessor, is slated to use a mid-mounted V-8 engine.
Meanwhile, the Elise, Exige, and Evora would continue to be sold alongside the Esprit the Evora will even get a convertible variant that is slated to make its debut slightly ahead of its bigger brother.
